Helion Group

Maintenance Technician Staffing

We fill more multi-craft technicians, mechanics, and industrial electricians than any other role, on every shift.

Maintenance is the hardest industrial role to fill and the one a plant feels fastest when it is open. A line that runs fine with a short production crew stops when the tech who knows the press is gone.

Maintenance Technician is the single most common requisition we work, by a wide margin, followed by maintenance mechanics and industrial electricians. Our recruiters work these roles every day, and they know the difference between a technician who can troubleshoot a PLC fault and one who can only swap parts.

Every candidate is checked six ways before you see them, and shift and commute are two of the six. A third-shift maintenance opening is filled by someone who has worked third shift and will again.

How we work

Questions plants ask about maintenance staffing

Is this temp or temp-to-hire?

Contract staffing that converts. Our technicians are on Helion's payroll and billed to you by the hour for as long as you need them. When you want to keep someone, they go direct to you, which is how about one in four of our completed contracts ends. Otherwise they stay with Helion and we place them at the next plant.

What maintenance roles does Helion fill?

Maintenance technicians and multi-craft techs, maintenance mechanics, maintenance and industrial electricians, electrical and controls technicians, PM technicians, facilities maintenance, HVAC mechanics, maintenance planners and supervisors, and millwrights.

Can you fill maintenance roles on nights and weekends?

Yes. Shift is one of the six things we verify on every candidate, and third shift is the second most common shift in our requisitions.

How quickly can you send maintenance candidates?

Every requisition is worked daily from the day it is allocated and flagged if it has not moved in three days. Speed depends on the role, the shift, and how fast you can interview; we ask for interview slots within 48 hours of a submittal.

Do you place maintenance supervisors and planners?

Yes. Maintenance supervisors, maintenance planners, and maintenance managers are part of the same vertical team that fills the technician roles.

Have a maintenance opening?

Tell us the role, the shift, and when you need them. The expert who owns your industry reads it.
